According to the EPA, 40% of our nation’s waterways are impaired due to non-point source pollution. In an effort to regulate discharge and enhance water quality, the NPDES Phase II stormwater regulations have been finalized and are beginning to take effect. Cities, counties, municipalities industry, and developers must address not only stormwater quantity, but stormwater quality. The new stormwater regulations mandate minimum control measures to implement Best Management Practices (BMP) or water quality treatment devices to address stormwater runoff.
